A NEW ADVENTURE

It’s daunting to take your first step into the ocean of published books. And it’s taken me a while to get here, with my first published novel now launched! I understood finding a readership must develop over time. What I hadn’t expected to find was a series of books already accredited to my somewhat ordinary name! It’s more surprising to me that this was the chosen pseudonym of author Sabrina Jeffries, whose own name sounds wonderfully suited to the historical romance fiction she writes! (I am quite jealous in fact.) It’s harder to make a ‘name’ for yourself when it’s used by so many people. Google ‘Deborah Martin’ and you’ll find 16 million hits with a lot more authors included. Perhaps I need a pen name - but it’s too late. We’re here, in this blog. If you want to make sure you are connecting to THIS version of Deborah Martin, contact me or sign up for news updates. I’ve got plans for more writing in the future. This first book does draw a lot from my early life in rural Midwest America, but for many it will remind them of a different world in the 1960s
